Our cafe is committed to rich Santa Fe soil

New Mexico, as the Land of Enchantment, has a rich history wherever you choose to unearth it. From sitting in a vortex that pulls people in, to a deep reverence for the land we’re on. When we opened the new BODY cafe, we wanted to bring as much of New Mexico into the cafe as possible. For us, this meant a menu focused on seasonality that directly supports New Mexican farmers. The Santa Fe Farmer’s Market is our weekly stop to bring you a true farm-to-table experience while maintaining our mission in sustainability; creating a fully whole foods plant-based menu. 

The entire BODY experience aims to promote sustainable living, from fashion collections, footwear, and activewear, to body, home, and skin essentials, and the food we put on our tables. We believe in a life where wellness can be threaded into moments of the day, from beginning the day with movement meditation like yoga to treating your body with a somatic massage at the spa.

Recipes at BODY promote environmental sustainability while pushing forward plant combinations that energize, fulfill, and benefit the mind and body with essential vitamins, minerals, and proteins. Founder Lori Parrish, a vegan since 1970, explains crafting the menu as “from the soil to gut biome” to promote essential gut function. So many of today’s diseases are rooted in problems that develop from the gut, so why not eat with a purpose to fulfill your highest self? With animal agriculture rapidly destroying our climate, eating plants is the most sustainable way to approach diet and we also aim to make it one of the most delicious meals you’ve had here in Santa Fe with the heartbeat of local New Mexican farms. 

In a wellness practice, you can nurture an aspect of your life with, say yoga and meditation, but without a 360º approach to radiating wellness throughout the way you live entirely—you live without balance and with counteractions. Our commitment to organic, whole foods, plant-based, and gluten-free foods also keeps pesticides out of the BODY kitchen while promoting sustainable organic farming to keep your bodies thriving and nourished. 

Our menu contains a robust selection of gluten-free plant-based baked goods loaded with whole, organic ingredients like our savory scone with caramelized onions and mushrooms, our chocolate chip cookie, or our superfood and seed energy bar, perfect for your post-studio or spa recovery that leave you feeling alive, without any lethargy.
